The Cannon Falls Bears were on both ends of 1-run ballgames last week, beating Lake City 4-3 Sunday and losing to Northfield 5-4 on Friday.
Cory Hedeen went the distance in the win over Lake City, striking out four and giving up three earned runs.
Nate Otto went 2-3 with three runs-scored, and Zeke Williams, Jamie Stay, Rich Burr, Hedeen and Ryan Brintnall all had hits. Otto had three stolen bases.
A 3-run 8th inning allowed Northfield to come back from a 4-2 deficit Friday.
Jared Woodward started for the Bears, going seven innings and giving up two runs. Billy Coakley was stuck with the loss.
Cannon had 13 hits, but left 11 runners on base. Taylor Pagel had three hits, Williams, Hedeen and Noah Callister two each, and Stay, Brintnall, Woodward and Tanner Jackson one apiece. Williams had a double.
The Bears host New Market on Wednesday (7:30 p.m.), Red Wing on Friday (7:30 p.m.) and Miesville on Sunday, June 29 (2 p.m.).
