The Cannon Falls-Randolph wrestling team started off a busy week of action by beating LaCrescent 59-15 at a triangular meet Tuesday.
Winning for CF-R were Peter Fitterer, 113, 7-4 decision; Paul Fitterer, 120, forfeit; Ryan Epps, 126, fall (1:29); Keston Lopez, 132, 16-0 tech. fall; Connor Rohr, 138, 9-2 decision; Cole Grosland, 152, forfeit; Sterling Carlson, 170, forfeit; Nathan Melhouse, 182, fall (4:47); Derek Johnson, 195, fall (1:00); Clay Broze, 220, forfeit; and Cooper Rohloff, 285, forfeit.
The going wasn't as easy against Kasson-Mantorvile, a 41-28 loss.
Paul Fitterer won by 17-2 tech. fall at 120, Epps won by pin at 126, Lopez by 19-4 tech. fall at 132, Rohr by 10-7 decision at 138, Melhouse by forfeit at 182, and Johnson by 5-4 decision at 195.
The Bombers went to Stewartville Thursday night and fell a bit short, losing 33-26.
Paul Fitterer won by 18-3 tech. fall, Epps by pin, Rohr by 4-1 decision, Carlson by 8-4 decision, Johnson by 3-0 decision, Melhouse by 8-4 decision, and Broze by 7-2 decision.
The grapplers were at Rochester Century Saturday, where they placed 2nd out of 15 teams. CF-R had 170.5 points, and winner Lake Crystal had 202.

120 - Ryan Epps, 2nd.
126 - Keston Lopez, 5th.
132 - Connor Rohr, 2nd.
138 - Hayden Strain, DNP.
145 - Gunnar Gates, DNP.
160 - Sterling Carlson, 4th.
170 - Nate Melhouse, 2nd.
182 - Derek Johnson, 2nd.
195 - Cooper Rohloff, 1st.
220 - Clay Broze, 1st.
Nine wrestlers currently sport .500 records or better: Paul Fitterer, 27-0; Epps, 23-4; Lopez, 22-6; Rohr, 18-7; Carlson, 13-10; Melhouse, 20-5; Johnson, 24-2; Rohloff, 15-11; and Broze, 19-0. As determined by The Guillotine web page, Broze and Fitterer are currently ranked #1 in class AA, Epps is 3rd and Johnson 8th.
Cannon is host to a triangular meet on Thursday, featuring CF-R, Lake City and Goodhue. They host an invitational on Saturday, Feb. 1, and go to Triton on Thursday, Feb. 6.
