The CFHS boys basketball team improved its overall record to 12-8 with decisive conference wins over Triton and Zumbrota-Mazeppa last week.
Three players hit double figures in a 68-47 win over the Triton Cobras Tuesday. Brock Peterson led with 17 points, Hunter Johnson had 12 and Tanner Carlson 10. Alex Bultena chipped in nine, Jordan Lundell eight, Jordon Flemmons and Dylan Dirckx three, Austin Noble and Taylor Carlson two, and Reid Hommedahl and Zach Stiehl each had one.
Peterson and Noble each had six rebounds, Bultena had five and Lundell four. Johnson had five assists.
Peterson again led the team in scoring Friday, in a 78-51 win at Zumbrota-Mazeppa. He had 17 points, and was 5-of-8 from 3-point range.
Big man Stiehl added 13 points, and Bultena added 11. Noble and Johnson each had eight points, Lundell six, Flemmons five, Peter Haggerty and Tanner Carlson four, and Taylor Carlson had two.
Lundell had five rebounds, and Haggerty, Bultena and Noble had four each. Lundell dished out eight assists, and Johnson and Tanner Carlson each had three steals.
Cannon sits atop the HVL Blue Division with a 9-3 record. They hosted Pine Island Tuesday, and entertain Lake City on Friday, Jan. 31, before going to Goodhue on Monday, Feb. 3.
