The CFHS boys basketball team went to St. Peter last weekend to play in their holiday tournament, and came home tourney runners-up.
Cannon opened the two-game tournament with a decisive 72-58 win over Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop.
The Bombers led by three at the half, but came out in the 2nd with much more defensive intensity, coach Josh Davisson said.

St. Peter has a big line-up, and solid play at both ends of the court hurt the Bombers in the title game. St. Peter won 60-45, after being ahead 26-23 at the half.
The Bombers also had a cold night shooting, at 28.3% from the field. They made three of 26 3-pointers.
