The RHS football team lost to Madelia Wednesday night, 36-24, with all 24 points coming in the 4th quarter.
Madelia jumped out to a 16-0 lead after a quarter, and they were ahead 24-0 at the half.
The Rockets finally got on the board on a 57-yard scoring pass from Luke Dubbels to Hunter Ehlers. Dubbels and Sam Feidt connected on the 2-point conversion.
Justin Waldvogel scored from a yard out soon after, and Dubbels and Austin Moorhouse teamed up for the team's final score, a 1-yard pass.
"I was really proud of our effort the whole game," coach Chris Stanton said. "Our defense played really well, especially in the second half. Mark Myers, Andy Noble, Zach Sirinek, Brady Thesing, Nick Wenstrom and Joey Adamson were making some great plays on defense.
"Offensively we struggled to get in a good rhythm to start the game, but later in the game we had some big-time catches by Ehlers and Moorhouse. Dubbels continues to play well at quarterback."
Dubbels completed 17 of 27 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns, while Feidt completed one pass for 22 yards. Moorhouse caught seven passes for 124 yards and a score, Feidt caught five for 26 yards, Ehlers three for 63 and a score, and Nick Wagenknecht caught one for 22 yards.
Charlie Wille Jr. led the defense with 12 total tackles. Sirinek had nine, Myers, Noble and Adamson eight, and David Speight seven.
Randolph started playoffs Tuesday night, as the #5 seed. They were at #4 seed Cleveland, with the winner facing either #1 seed Nicollet or #8 seed MSAD on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the field of the high seed at 4 p.m.
