Girls are 4th at Rochester

Senior Emi Trost and her Bomber teammates started the 2013 cross country season on a strong note Thursday, with Trost winning at Stewartville and the Bomber team placing fourth.

Trost had a time of 11:33.5 minutes on the 3200 meter course, 45 seconds ahead of second place finisher Kelly Erpelding of Rochester.

Katherine Hoffman was 8th, Annika Thomley 34th, Emma Thomley 45th Jenna Kremers 66th, Rianne Lund 68th and Esther Pranke 82nd. All but Trost are freshmen and sophomores.

Bjorn Pearson paced the boys, who placed 9th. Pearson placed 20th with a time of 11:24. Connor Rohr was 37th, Karl Ritzman 42nd, Karl Trost 61st and Cole Grosland 76th.

Cobie Vagts was 61st in the boys JV race. Riley Eddy was 16th in the boys junior race, Aaron Trost was 45th, Vinnie Davisson 46th, and James Watson 66th. Payton Cooper was 3rd in the girls junior high race.

Both squads are at Montgomery on Thursday, Sept. 5.
