Railcats open with 4-1 win

The Randolph Railcats opened the 2013 with a home 4-1 win against Wanamingo. The game was called due to darkness after six innings.

Scott Otte started and went four solid innings for the win. He allowed one run on three hits. Phil Otto and Derrick Otte each pitched an inning of relief.

Scott Otte also led the offense, going 2-2 with two doubles and two RBI. Otto also had two RBI, TJ Nordling had two hits and scored three runs, and Derrick Otte added a hit and scored two runs.

The Railcats return most of its players from last season, when the team advanced to region play. They are again managed by Kent Otte.

Randolph has two games this week, Friday night at Lonsdale (7:30 p.m.) and at home Sunday against the Red Wing Aces (2 p.m.).
