The 2012-13 basketball season came to a disappointing end for the CFHS boys squad Monday, when they lost 65-46 to top-seed St. Peter in the sub-section championship game.
Cannon beat Waterville-Elysian-Morristown 64-58, in the sub-section quarterfinals Friday.
St. Peter did a nice job defending the Bomber outside shooters, and held Cannon to 32% shooting from the floor while shooting 55% themselves.
"We struggled getting good looks throughout the game," commented coach Josh Davisson. "I'm proud of the guys for sticking together after a rough 2-5 start to the season to finish 18-11. It wasn't the path we intended, but the road we took made us stronger as a team."
Junior Brock Peterson finished with 10 points, junior Jordan Lundell had nine, and seniors Noah Callister and Tanner Jackson each chipped in nine apiece. Callister had six rebounds.
Lundell poured in 22 points, and Callister adde 16 in the win over WEM. Lundell had six rebounds, Callister five, and Peterson had three assists.
