On July 1, Vasa Lutheran Church reported the theft of five more brass rods and markers from the graves of Veterans in the Vasa cemetery. Vasa has been hit before, as have other area cemeteries.
On July 2, Debra Knudson, 120th Avenue, Leon Township, reported shotgun pellet damage to her mailbox.
On July 2, Gerald Ingeman, County 51 in Vasa Township, reported a burglary from a shed on his property. Ingeman had heard an engine revving and followed a truck leaving his location and called the Sheriff's Office. Scott Hotchkiss, 26, South Saint Paul, was stopped near County 1 and 180th Avenue. Hotchkiss was apparently looking for metal to scrap. He was charged with 3rd degree burglary and theft. Court date on August 22,
On July 4, Barry Otterness, rural Cannon Falls, reported damage to a rear quarter panel on a vehicle that had been parked at the Lake Byllesby parking lot on July 3.
On July 5, three people were cited for trespass (cliff jumping) at the Byllesby Park.
On June 29, ticketed near County 7 and Sunset Trail in Vasa Township for operating ATVs on a roadway were Daniel Christensen, 23, rural Cannon Falls; Blake Wilson, 28, Cannon Falls; Kali Gesme, 21, Cannon Falls; Jacob Hoffman, 22, Cannon Falls; Houston Miller, 19, rural Cannon Falls.
On July 1, Diane DeGroot, 47, rural Cannon Falls, was booked in by the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office on a warrant for unpaid parking violation. She paid the due amount and was released,
