Let's compare some statistics for a little more objective evidence of a community organizer's economic legacy; 12/08 gallon of gas $1.69 -09/12 $3.79, Lundberg; food stamp participation 12/08 31.7 mil - 9/11 46.3 mil, food research and action center; national debt 12/08 $10.7 tril - 09/12 $16.01 tril, US treasury; unemployed 27 + weeks 12/08 2.6 mil - 12/11 5.6 mil, Bureau of Labor Statistics; total unemployed 12/08 10.5% - 08/12 14.8%, BLS; total poverty 12/08 39.8 mil - 3/11 46.2 mil, US census; median home price 2008 $191,975 - 2011 $169,500, national association of realtors; median annual income down 4.8% from 6/09 -6/12 New York times. I could go on.
I suppose we could blame the above on Pres. Bush, Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld, global warming, the Arab spring, the Muslim brotherhood, the European melt down, the Japanese tsunami, the attacks on our embassies and killing of our ambassador or maybe the break down of the teleprompter or the "do nothing congress." But of course that was controlled by the Democrats from 2007 until the Republicans took over the house in 2010. The Democrats still control the senate and have not produced a budget for almost four years.
