8/13/2014 9:53:00 PM 52/180th crash leaves one dead
Four teenage Burnsville boys, returning home after cliff jumping at Lake Byllesby, were in a rollover accident at Hwy. 52 and 180th Street that left one dead and one seriously injured on Wednesday, August 6, 2014.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Matthew Berger, 17, Burnsville was driving a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound on Hwy. 52 and lost control at about 9:42 p.m. The vehicle went into the median and rolled over, coming to rest in the southbound lanes.
The two passengers in the back seat were not wearing seatbelts. Ty Alyea, 17, was killed. Cole Borchardt, 18, was seriously injured. The driver and the passenger in the front seat, Tylan Procko, 17, were belted in. Their injuries were described as non-life threatening.
