Only one demolition derby is planned for the 2014 Cannon Valley Fair, but it promises to be a good one.
The banging and clanging will take place Thursday night, July 3 starting at 7 p.m. at the fair grandstand.
Well over $10,000 will be given away as prize money in five different categories: full-size old iron, mid-size, pickups, 80s and newer, and mighty minis. Rules and regulations can be found at www.cannonvalleyfair.org.
All car registration will be done at the gate; there is no early registration. Entry fee per class is $50. Please note that no checks will be accepted; entry fees must be paid in cash.
The pit gate will open at 3 p.m., and technical inspection will be from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Admission is $12 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Pit passes are $20.
