In Dakota County, all Township polls will be open from 10-8.
In both Counties, annual meetings will be conducted shortly following the closing of the polls.
In area Goodhue County Townships, Warsaw was the only one that saw two people file for the same position. Incumbent Jon Stordahl, who has been a Warsaw Township Supervisor for 30 years, is stepping down. Looking to take his spot for the next three year term will be Jason Fehling and Larry Madsen. Incumbent Jimmilee Miller was the only person to file for Warsaw clerk.
The following incumbents filed for supervisor and clerk and are unopposed on the ballot, although write-in campaigns are common in Township elections: Cannon Falls Township, Ray Otto and Sue Safe; Leon Township, Regan Melhouse and Sandra Hanson; Stanton Township, Robert Benson and Cheryle Peters; Vasa Township, Mike Carlson and James Hedeen; Welch Township, Dan Bauer and Ken Slingsby; Belle Creek, Chad Ryan and Steve McNamara.
In area Dakota County Townships, Jeff Reed filed to run again as supervisor in Douglas. Jeff Partington, Michael Kieffer, and Norbert Kuhn all filed for supervisor in Castle Rock. Don Marthaler filed to run again as a Randolph supervisor. Jim Sipe will run for supervisor in Hampton Township, unopposed on the ballot as the incumbent, Doug Wille, did not file. In Sciota, incumbent supervisor Randy Volkert will run again. Linda Hardy filed for the clerk position. Many of the Dakota Co. clerks are appointed.
