The 18th annual Deck the Falls celebration takes place this Saturday, November 30. Not only is it Deck the Falls day in Cannon Falls, but it is also Small Business Saturday, a day when shoppers are encouraged to support small businesses.
Fill your senses with the sights, sounds and tastes of the season in Cannon Falls with a whole day of events and activities.
In addition to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in-store specials, holiday open houses, drawings and more at local businesses, activities will include the CFHS National Honor Society bell ringing for the Salvation Army in front of Hi-Quality Bakery from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., a visit from Santa from 9:30 - 11 a.m. at Community Resource Bank (cameras welcome), a 2 p.m. Holiday Story Time at the Cannon Falls Library with stories read by Mayor Robby Robinson and by Santa and Mrs. Claus. Children are encouraged to bring a Toys for Tots donation to the Library.
From the Library, Santa, Mrs. Claus and Mayor Robinson will lead a Toy Parade to Hi-Quality Bakery where toys will be deposited in the toy collection box.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will stay at Hi-Quality Bakery from 2:30-4:30 p.m. to visit with children and for photo ops.
There will be hot cider at 5 p.m., compliments of Nelson Insurance served at the Gazebo in the community parking lot.
The Deck the Falls Parade begins at 5 p.m. and ends in the community parking lot. Holiday Music Singing with the Gesme Family at the gazebo follows, culminating with the Community Tree Lighting, and the Holiday Drawing all in the community parking lot.
