The new Olmsted Medical Center in Cannon Falls, built by Dr. Karl Molenaar, will host an open house on Wednesday, September 25 from 4 to 7 p.m.
"We would appreciate it if people can stop by to meet us and see our building," said Christine Werner, certified nurse practitioner and nursing supervisor at the clinic.
"All of our healthcare providers will be here, we'll have some treats and beverages and we'll give tours of the facility," said Werner. Providers are Dr. Karl Molenaar, family medicine; Dr. Peggy Lorentz, obstetrics/gynecology; Werner (all three are Cannon Falls area natives who have practiced in the area as well); and Dr. Dave Detert, family medicine, a Northfield resident.
Molenaar built the facility on the north end of Cannon Falls at 1705 Hwy. 20 North, near the junction with the County Road that heads west to Lake Byllesby, where Molenaar resides.
The facility has nine exam rooms, two procedure rooms, a lab and x-ray room and employs three front desk staff, two LPNs and two lab/x-ray technicians.
Molenaar's father, Dr. Robert Molenaar, has a personal collection of fossils and historical artifacts on display in the airy and bright entryway and waiting area of the clinic.
