8/29/2013 3:00:00 PM Benefit for Brian Lorentz is September 14
The public is invited to a benefit for Brian Lorentz on Saturday, September 14, at the Cannon Falls VFW.
For those interested, a Motorcycle Ride/Poker Run will begin at the VFW Parking Lot at 11 a.m. and everyone is invited to ride along.
The public is also invited to the VFW for food and fun at 5 p.m. Besides the food, there will be a silent auction, prizes, games and a live auction conducted by Rod Johnson. The cost of admission is only $10.
Brian was involved in a motorcycle accident almost one year ago. After a lengthy stay in the hospital and continued prolonged medical treatments, he is still unable to return to normal activities, including employment. Brian has not worked and has had no income for the past year. This benefit is to help with Brian's struggles.
Besides the many silent auction items, the live auction will feature items such as a baseball autographed by Twins pitcher Caleb Thielbar, a processed hog, seven-night stay in the U.S. or Mexico for four, deer hunting excursion, a gas grill with steaks, a four-night stay in Branson for up to four people, a Harley Davidson Nut Cracker and much more.
The silent auction will take place from 5 until 6:30 p.m. with the live auction following, all at the Cannon Falls VFW. "Life's a Ride" tee-shirts are available at Cannon Valley Video and an account has also been set up at First Farmers&Merchants Bank for donations.
