The Parent Teacher Organization's (PTO) Carnival is approaching fast!
It will be Friday April 12, from 5 to 8 pm at the Elementary School.
This is one of the PTO's largest fundraising events and everyone is invited.
While admission to the carnival is free, there is a cost to play the games. You can purchase 20 tickets for $5, and most games are two tickets.
The carnival includes games such as "Minute To Win It" games, face painting, cake walk, fish pond and a bounce house (and many more!).
There will be food available for purchase (walking tacos, hot dogs, pop corn and sno-cones) and they will be having a silent auction as well.
Donations for the silent auction include Guthrie Theater tickets, Ordway tickets, a Family pool pass from Cannon Falls, MOA Water Park passes, Children's Museum passes, Skateville passes, Fun Zone passes, MN Zoo Family four- pack, a Kiesler's Campground certificate, and themed baskets donated by each grade level.
To make this event successful, the PTO is in need of over 100 volunteers. Please consider volunteering a couple of hours of your time. For more details, we invite you to join our PTO Facebook page or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
"With the support of the community, school, and teachers, the PTO has been able to turn this fundraiser into a huge success," said Board member Kelly Brintnall. "We are hoping this year is no exception."
The PTO has recently been able to purchase Smart Compasses for Deb Kadrlik's 3rd grade class, Science supplies for 4th grade, prizes for "I Love to Read" Month, and a Cri-cut machine for the entire staff to use for creating bulletin boards and art projects. The PTO also donated $2,000 to the 4th grade's Eagle Bluff trip, purchased a microwave for the teacher's break room, and donated many books to each of our teachers.
